It's two days since her funeral. You are sitting on her couch and you open an old frayed photo album. Immediately you are transported back to your childhood. You can smell the freshly mown lawn, you can taste the icy pole your Grandma made, your legs fondly remember what jumping on the trampoline felt like. Nostalgia washes over you, you close your eyes and lean into the moment. Your eyes fill with tears and you are reminded of the beautiful moments of your life.

This is the moment I live for. I want to create images that will transport you back in time and remind you of the moments you forgot.

My name is Briar and I am a documentary family photographer. I want to capture your life and all the moments of connection, love, struggle, exhaustion, joy and happiness.

That's all that really matters. They tell your story. The story you'll tell your kids. The story your kids will tell your grandkids.
